From gesture to cup

A tilted kettle, water poured over coffee, hands near the grinder: the images follow the barista’s gestures and the objects around them. Black and white draws the eye towards preparation; colour photographs bring back the warmth of cups, wood and the light in the café.

At Corbeau, the reportage moves from the counter to the details. A blue moka pot, a pendant light, the sign at the entrance and the La Marzocco machine portray a café through its materials, atmosphere and the person who brings it to life.
