MY APPROACH · SÉBASTIEN PRENZA

Make people want to visit,
while staying true to your place.

Light crossing the room, a dish you want to taste, a welcoming gesture. These details are often where my eye begins.

Let’s talk about your project ↗

I photograph restaurants and hotels to convey what makes them distinctive. My aim is to reveal their charm, give every image care and make people want to step inside.

01

It starts with your intention.

Before picking up the camera, I take time to listen. Why did you create this place? Who is it for? What would you like people to feel when they visit?

We also discuss where the images will appear: your website, social media, the press or printed materials. From these conversations, I put together a shot plan that connects your identity with the images you need.

02

Light sets the rhythm.

On a first visit, I look at how light falls across the spaces. I also study the sun’s path to anticipate the atmosphere and choose the best moments to shoot.

Architecture, materials and perspectives then help me imagine the scenes: a table laid for guests, a moment on the terrace, someone welcoming you in. We prepare these situations to convey a believable experience of your establishment.

03

I guide you, at your own pace.

I help with positioning, gestures and the composition of each scene. I take time to put people at ease so they feel comfortable in the picture.

The schedule adapts to your business, your team and the practical demands of the place. Arriving early to photograph the baker at work or planning around service is part of that preparation.

04

Editing that respects your identity.

After the shoot, I select the strongest images from the different takes, looking at the framing, light, an expression or the precision of a gesture.

Every selected photograph is edited individually. I adjust exposure, colour and contrast, crop where needed and remove distracting elements that draw attention away from the subject.

I aim for a cohesive series that reflects your creative direction. Light-filled, carefully finished images that preserve the presence of materials and the character of colours.

05

A love of food shapes my eye, too.

I enjoy food as much at the table as in my own kitchen. Experimenting, tasting, sharing and making others happy are an important part of my life.

Photographing a dish also means seeing the work behind it: the choice of an ingredient, a balance, a texture, the care taken over plating. Conveying that attention through images is one of the pleasures of my work.
